April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Mesa County Surveyor Scott Thompson has been named the “2024 Surveyor of the Year” by the Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado (PLSC). This prestigious accolade is awarded annually to a professional who has demonstrated excellence in land surveying and has made significant contributions to the profession and community.

Mesa County Public Health has extended a No Burn Advisory through Saturday, April 6 until 9 p.m. because of strong winds. Burning of any kind, including agricultural burning, is not allowed during this advisory period.
